On June 7 and 8, CHBA-NL will be providing you with the opportunity to partake in two customized training workshops: Estimation; Business Accounting and Job Cost. These workshops can be taken together or individually and will be delivered by Vince Butler, (GMR, GMB, CAPS) of Butler Brothers Corporation in Northern Virginia.
The first session on June 7 will be on Estimation: Learn How to Protect Your Business Through Defensive Estimating Techniques.
As a graduate of this course, you will be able to:
- Value the importance of quality estimating
- Use different types of estimates and ways to estimate
- Apply proven steps in the estimating process to develop winning bids
- Implement technology to help you estimate.
The second session on June 8 will be on Business Accounting and Job Cost.
As a graduate of this course, you will be able to:
- Define Concepts and terminology basic to the residential construction business accounting
- Describe the value and usage of common financial reports used for measuring business performance
- Job cost accounting and variance analysis
- Explain the importance and process of measuring and analysing job cost against performance
- Identify the essentials of operating capital funding methods
- Identify common construction and permanent mortgage products and the relative builder/client positions
If you are a CHBA-NL member, you will be eligible for the Preferred Membership Cost for this training (price will range from $400-$450 per workshop depending on number of registrants)
Due to the demand for these training seminars, seating will be allotted on a first come, first serve basis.
