The Newfoundland and Labrador residential construction industry celebrated the best in the industry during the 15th Annual BERG Awards on November 23rd at the Delta Hotel.
The evening’s highlights were the presentation of 12 awards recognizing industry excellence in the categories of new home construction, renovation, sub trade, safety, and professional services. The BERG Awards recognize achievement in high quality workmanship, customer service, energy efficiency, and professionalism in new home construction and renovations.

In addition to the BERG Awards, the CHBA-NL celebrated volunteers with the Member of the Year Awards. Anna Street, of Street Property Development, received the Member of the Year Award in the “Builder” category for her leadership and volunteerism within the organization. Steve Thorne of Transfer Energy, received the Member of Year “Non-Builder” category for his volunteer work with the Technical Research Committee and the Board of Directors. The Rooftopper of the Year Award for recruiting the most members throughout the year was awarded to Tim Crosbie of Coastal Cedar Homes.
Additionally, the Atlantic Home Warranty Homeowner Choice Award was handed out to Horizon Homes.
